About Fiona
My passion for French began from fascination with language, literature, and international culture during my studies. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in French Literature and have spent the last 7 years helping students improve language confidence through practical teaching and supportive learning methods. I enjoy helping learners feel more relaxed while communicating in French.
I believe language learning should feel approachable and adaptable for every student. Some learners improve through conversation and listening activities, while others prefer grammar explanation and writing exercises. My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and steady progress so students can improve comfortably while building confidence in French.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading French novels, exploring francophone cinema, and practicing translation activities. Staying connected to the language helps me bring authentic and engaging examples into lessons. Teaching French is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students communicate confidently and connect with new cultures through language.

My French lessons focus on helping students communicate naturally through structured learning and interactive language activities. I teach pronunciation, grammar, sentence formation, vocabulary development, listening comprehension, and conversational French using practical exercises that make learning engaging and approachable. Lessons are designed to improve fluency, confidence, and understanding while creating a welcoming learning environment.
Beginners improve through pronunciation practice, guided dialogues, and repetition exercises that gradually strengthen language foundations. Intermediate learners develop stronger grammar accuracy, listening ability, and conversational confidence through roleplay activities and structured discussions. Advanced students focus on fluent communication, cultural understanding, and advanced expression with deeper language development. I also include listening exercises and real-life scenarios that help students improve naturally.
French becomes easier when students actively use the language instead of memorizing grammar rules without practical application. My lessons encourage curiosity, consistency, and communication confidence while helping learners improve steadily. I want students to become more expressive, comfortable, and confident while using French in everyday situations.
