About Leila
I was born and raised in the French Alps, near the Italian border in the Provence region. I earned a Master’s degree in Literature and Publishing, which led me to spend about ten years working in the publishing industry as a managing editor and journalist. After moving to the United States, I shifted my focus toward teaching and translating from English to French.
Alongside my professional path, I have always been drawn to writing—whether children’s books or screenplays—as well as hands-on creative work such as cardboard crafting. I am naturally curious and deeply committed to lifelong learning, a philosophy I inherited from my grandparents and teachers, who taught me that one never stops learning, because life never stops teaching.

I believe that learning a language is most effective when it is built on confidence, encouragement, and a positive atmosphere. My goal is to help learners feel comfortable expressing themselves while steadily developing the skills they need to progress.
For me, French is not only about grammar and vocabulary, but also about culture and history, the elements that give the language its depth and meaning. With a Master’s degree in Literature and Linguistics, I bring these aspects into my teaching to make lessons both engaging and insightful.
I adapt each session to your personal goals, pace, and learning style, so that you can move forward in a way that feels natural and effective for you. As a certified TCF examiner and experienced TCF trainer, I also support students preparing for the exam with focused and practical guidance.
