About Thomas
I'm a recent graduate from Imperial College where I studied Geophysics.... Geophysics at Imperial is a broad subject covering many things. It included advanced maths, programming for numerical modelling and data analysis, thermodynamics, fluid flow, seismology and geohazards amongst other topics. It's a very interesting degree where many highly sought-after skills are developed.
After graduating I first worked as an analyst in the City before returning to teach in technology camps and to work as a private tutor. I began teaching through summer camps and weekend courses whilst at university and now have around 4 years combined teaching and tutoring experience. My teaching has mainly been in London, but has also taken me to Italy, Oman and Colombia. Subjects have been very broad ranging from Maths and Physics to various programming languages, electronics, augmented reality and digital music production.
Whilst not teaching I like to keep fit, explore new places (I have backpacked extensively throughout Latin America), read, and practice different musical instruments (grade 8 cellist).

My classes follow a structure that emphasises building on what we know and having clear goals. Classes will vary from student to student. Depending on what is required and in what time frame they are structured accordingly. Although we will set clear goals and learn based on those, my teaching style is relaxed enough to ensure lessons are enjoyable and rewarding for both teacher and student.
