About Leticia
When I came to Canada, at the age of 25, I thought I would be able to understand and speak english easily given the fact that my parents invested so many years in my education and put specific effort in learning English since I was 6 years old. Surprisingly my english level was way lower than I expected, and realized that’s because the learning methods I studied since I was young were designed for people who would never speak to a real native speaker.
That’s when I understood slangs, idioms, pronunciation, context, generally informal language should be the base of learning a new language.
