About Krista
Hello! I love igniting a love for Biology in my students. So many people say "I'm not good at science" when the truth is, you've just never been taught the right way. I've taught for over 20 years at grades 7-12 and college. I've also done summer science camps for grades 2-8. Through all my experience I have yet to find anyone who is actually "bad".

Every student and group is different. There is no one approach to understanding science that works for everyone beyond this - it is critical to understand the connection between what you're learning and your own life.
I firmly believe that learning needs to be a dialogue. There is little truth to the commonly held belief that if you lay information in front of someone they will learn. Learners need to engage in the subject.
As an educator I am patient and flexible. I do expect that my students take responsibility for their learning. You will get out of your time with me what you put into it.
