About Sara
I have spent the past 17 years working in reading intervention, helping children develop the skills and confidence they need to become successful readers. I am a certified educational specialist and hold certification in literacy. Using the science of reading, I systematically teach my students how to read. I believe every child can succeed with the right instruction, patience, and encouragement. Seeing students grow into confident readers is the most rewarding part of my work.

My lessons are systematic and research based, grounded in the Science of Reading and structured literacy principles to support students with dyslexia. I provide personalized instruction tailored to each child’s strengths and needs, incorporating multiple learning modalities—visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile—to deepen understanding and retention. Sessions include explicit phonics instruction, guided practice, and meaningful reading application, along with carefully selected supplemental aids that reinforce skills, build confidence, and promote lasting reading success in a supportive, nurturing environment.
