About Adelaide
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a focus on piano, which gives me a strong academic foundation. Over the past fourteen years, I’ve gained practical experience teaching a variety of styles, including jazz, pop, and classical. This mix allows me to create lessons that are both structured and fun. I love helping students find their own musical voice while building solid skills. I work with school-aged students and adults, tailoring lessons to their individual goals. Whether you want to play for enjoyment or prepare for exams, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. I believe learning piano should be rewarding and inspiring, no matter your age or skill level. My teaching style is patient and encouraging, helping students gain confidence in their abilities. I focus on technique, theory, and performance, so you develop as a well-rounded musician. Together, we’ll explore pieces that challenge you and pieces that bring you joy. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in piano while making lessons enjoyable and inspiring. I start with proper keyboard technique to ensure students play with ease and avoid injury. Ear training is an important part of my lessons, helping students recognize notes, chords, and rhythms by listening. I also include music theory in a practical way, so students understand how to read and write music, and apply it when they play.
Performance skills are developed gradually, with opportunities for students to play confidently in front of others. I tailor lessons to each student’s pace and goals, whether they want to play professionally or for fun. I encourage creativity and expression, so every student finds joy in their music.
For beginners, I focus on clear steps to build skills steadily. For more experienced players, I challenge them with advanced pieces and techniques. I support every student in reaching their full potential through patience and positive encouragement. My lessons balance technical training with musicality, making learning both effective and rewarding. I believe every student can excel with the right guidance and practice.
