About Shaurya
Hey! I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at Purdue University and scored a 1560 on the SAT. I’m pretty laid-back and enjoy helping people understand things that might seem difficult at first. Outside of school, I play soccer, love watching movies, and enjoy staying active. I like keeping tutoring relaxed and making sure you actually understand what you’re doing rather than just memorizing strategies. My goal is to help you feel more confident and comfortable with the SAT while making the process as enjoyable as possible.

Teaching Method
I diagnose why you're missing points, not just drill more tests. I use challenge problems above actual SAT difficulty — if harder material feels manageable, the real test feels easy. I also focus on pattern recognition (the SAT reuses the same traps) and time management, since pacing often costs more points than content gaps.
Typical Lesson
Quick review of last session's homework → focused instruction on one skill, pushed into harder variations → timed practice mixing standard and challenge-level questions → short targeted homework, including one challenge problem.

I scored a 1560 using this exact method — challenge problems, not just practice tests. I'm also studying Mechanical Engineering at Purdue, so I bring strong math fundamentals to the Math section.
