About Emma
Hi I'm Emma! I have 1st Class Classics degree from the University of Manchester and I'm currently studying for a PGCE in Secondary English.
Having studied English up until A Level and now returning to it for my teacher training, I fully understand the struggles that come along with the subject. I believe that genuine interest and excitement regarding the subject matter is the key to success!
As your tutor, I hope to be able to help you achieve your goals and show you how exciting and enjoyable this subject can be along the way!

I take a student-focused and interactive approach to lessons, devising a structured plan based on your goals, strengths and weaknesses.
Working closely with the needs of the student, I will take an approach which fosters genuine engagement with and enjoyment of the subject. Depending on the level, this may involve diving deeper into a text or channelling brilliant ideas into an A* exam response.
I pride myself on being a very friendly and non-judgemental individual. I am more than happy to tailor things so that they work for you!
