About Daniel
Hi I'm Dan, and I have a first class degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia. I always loved Economics more than my other subjects because I found it could easily be applied to the world around me! In my lessons I will always aim to bring to life some of the economic situations occurring today (after all that can be up to 25% of the marks!) I find this helps to make the lessons more engaging and show how the theory can apply in practice. I will always tailor the pace and content of lessons to each student's ability which I always try to gauge in the first couple of lessons. Using this approach I have helped students achieve their maximum potential and make sense of the theory they are taught in school. On a personal level, I loved playing sports, playing Rugby and Hockey at university and engaged in business competitions at a national level. I look forward to meeting you and learning more about you!

I will adjust my tutoring approach to you! Depending on the stage you are within your educational journey I'll tailor the lessons to each student. With every student I like to take the first lesson to understand strengths and weaknesses, taking a balanced approach to improve both. Working on a student's strengths can just as easily get an 8/9 as working on weaknesses! I also like to understand grade aspirations to plan out an adequate study plan. For upper 6th students for example I will typically focus on exam technique and answering past papers. Looking to build upon existing knowledge. Whilst lower 6th I will focus on building knowledge and how students will come to use this in exam questions in the future. Lessons range from 1-2 hours, and I will look to build a flexible routine around each student. I have experience tutoring at A-Level and Year 1 University, having tutored during my 3rd and final year during university. Since graduating I have been working in financial service, continuing to study towards further qualifications.
