About Chloe
I love to tutor because I genuinely believe in the power of language — not just as a subject, but as a tool for expression, confidence, and opportunity. Studying English Literature deepened my appreciation for storytelling, critical thinking, and the way words shape the world around us. However, what drives me to teach is the ability to pass that on — to help others find their voice, improve their skills, and realise their potential. Tutoring over the past 3.5 years has shown me how transformative one-on-one support can be. I’ve seen students go from hesitant and unsure to confident and capable, and that progress — both academic and personal — is incredibly rewarding. Tutoring allows me to connect with people of different ages and backgrounds, meet them where they are, and help them move forward. At its core, I am incredibly passionate to teach because it’s not just about English — it’s about empowerment. There is nothing more fulfilling than being a part of that journey.

Whether you're looking to improve your creative writing, grammar, critical thinking and analytical skills, nail essay writing, build confidence in reading and comprehension, or prepare for exams, I put together a personalised plan so that every session meets your unique goals and learning style. I have worked with over 18 students within the past three and a half years and I can confidently say that a one-size-fits-all approach does not work! I understand the importance of customising each lesson to each learner’s goals, abilities, and preferred learning style. With a degree in English Literature from Queen Mary University of London, I bring not just textbook knowledge but real academic insight — I know how to break the content down in a way that's clear and engaging for students to understand and interpret. Lastly, I help students build self-belief and independence as well as improving test scores. Within the educational environment that I provide I ensure that students feel completely comfortable to ask any questions on their mind, no matter how small the question. By providing a nurturing environment students build the confidence and the knowledge to be able to tackle any text or question.
