About Sophie
My name is Sophie Bowen and I am a first-year university student at QUT, studying a Bachelor of Law (Honors) / Bachelor of Behavioral Science (Psychology). Last year I graduated from Ormeau Woods State High School and received a 94.20 ATAR. I am a dedicated student, which led me to accelerate my studies of General English so that I finished General English to a Grade 12 standard while in Grade 11, receiving an overall result of 96/100. I exhibit excellent time management skills, organization skills and a genuine love of learning, which helped me to achieve so highly in high school and which I will use to best help your child.

I am available online or in-person to teach Maths and English for Grades Prep-10. My lessons will typically run for 1-2 hours depending on your child's needs. These lessons will be structured to target any areas your child may struggle with, using a variety of different learning styles to help find the one that works best for your child. I understand that students all learn differently, and whether that means using games to help engagement, or tailoring my lessons to your child's interests, I will find the method which best helps your child to grow confidence in their own abilities!
