About John Ken
Hello! I am a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) student with a strong interest in computers, technology, and programming. I enjoy learning new IT concepts and sharing my knowledge with others, especially students who are just starting their journey in the world of technology.
As a tutor, I aim to make learning IT simple, practical, and enjoyable. I understand that technical subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I focus on explaining concepts in clear, easy-to-understand language and breaking complicated topics into manageable steps. I welcome questions and believe that making mistakes is a natural part of learning.
I can help beginners develop their understanding of basic computer concepts, computer hardware and software, networking fundamentals, introductory programming, and other foundational IT topics I have studied. I also strive to adapt my teaching approach to each student's learning pace and academic needs.
My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and develop problem-solving skills they can use both in school and in everyday life. Whether you need help understanding a difficult concept or want to build a stronger foundation in IT, I look forward to learning with you and helping you reach your goals!
Let's make learning technology easier together!

My Teaching Approach and Methodology
Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching approach focuses on making Information Technology easy to understand, even for students with little to no IT background. I use simple explanations, step-by-step demonstrations, real-life examples, and hands-on practice to help students understand concepts instead of simply memorizing them. I also encourage students to ask questions, explore solutions, and learn at their own pace.
Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson begins with a short review of the topic and an explanation of the learning objectives. I then introduce the main concepts using simple examples and demonstrations. Afterward, we work through practice exercises together, followed by activities that allow students to apply what they have learned. At the end of each session, I summarize the key points, answer questions, and provide additional exercises when needed.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
As a BSIT student, I understand the challenges beginners face when learning technical subjects. I aim to create a patient, supportive, and approachable learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I focus on explaining concepts in simple terms and breaking complicated topics into manageable steps. My goal is not only to help students complete their activities but also to develop their confidence and problem-solving skills.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for beginners, elementary and high school students interested in computers, senior high school ICT students, and first-year college students taking introductory IT subjects. Depending on the topic, I can provide guidance in basic computer literacy, computer hardware and software, networking fundamentals, introductory programming, basic database concepts, and other foundational IT topics that I have studied. Lessons can be adjusted to suit each student's current knowledge, learning pace, and academic needs.
