About Nina
I’m a 2nd year medical student from Dublin, Ireland who is currently studying medicine in Italy and who is aspiring to becoming a pediatrician.
I have always loved mathematics and throughout school it was one of the subjects I always did the best in. It was this love of maths and eventually physics which led me to pursue Medical Physics and Bioengineering as a degree after high school.
In my three years of studying physics I have encountered extremely complex maths problems and have studied broad fields of mathematics. I strongly believe that a good foundational understanding of basic algebra is one of the most important things we can learn, even if we don’t all intend on pursuing careers in mathematics.
I hope I can help other’s to enjoy maths as much as I do or to at least help mathematics seem like less of a daunting task!

What is my approach to teaching?
I believe that mathematics is essential to all of our lives. I try to find a way to make mathematics enjoyable for all my students by relating it to real life wherever possible and untangling the endless jumble of numbers and letters.

Amazing lessons with Nina! She is great at explaining difficult concepts and using real world examples to make every topic more interesting. Would definitely recommend her as a tutor
Nina is a genuine and kind person who truly helped me to get into medical school. Her classes are organised and she helped me to create a study plan which worked with my lifestyle and the subjects I was struggling with. We worked on so many practice tests and she really put in the extra hours to give me advice and help me through the IMAT process. I was feeling overwhelmed by the amount I needed to study going into this process but Nina really encouraged me and helped make it more manageable. I would recommend her to anyone who is preparing for the IMAT too!
