About Beth
As mentioned, due my extensive experience within the education sector, I am well-equipped to help students both improve their grammatical skills in French and Spanish and to enrich their understanding of the respective cultures of these two countries.
In addition to my practical knowledge of the education sector, I have studied Spanish Language and Literature up to A-Level standard and my studies are currently dedicated to reading French Language and Literature at Oxford. Therefore, I am very familiar with the structure and mark schemes of primary and secondary school examinations, whether these examinations be internal end-of-term assessments, or externally-examined GCSEs and A-Levels.
Additionally, given my desire to eventually take up a permanent, full-time position within education, it would be a true privilege to be able to enhance my teaching skills and delivery methods by the means of guiding bright, aspiring and ambitious students such as yourselves in your studies.

Having been a private tutor of Latin, employed officially as a Language Assistant at my former school, and worked as an au pair tutoring French children English, I am well-acquainted with the best methodologies to adopt when teaching a language. With my Year Abroad fast approaching, in which I am spending 7 months working as a Language Assistant at a French Académie, I hope that both my language and teaching skills will only continue to ameliorate.
My particular strength is aiding pupils in the language side of their course (in speaking, listening, reading and writing), however I would be more than happy to help A-Level students of French and Spanish in their study of film and literature. Specifically, in the sixth-form, I studied the films El Laberinto del Fauno (for Spanish) and La Haine (for French) and the books El Otro Arbol de Guernica (for Spanish) and Un Secret (for French) myself and so would be delighted to discuss them with students, if they so pleased.
It would be a pleasure to help students aged 7 to 18 (KS2 through to A-Level standard) in their French and Spanish studies. Whilst I often find an hour to be an appropriate length of time for each tutorial, I would, of course, be willing to tailor to the needs of each individual student.
