About Mahi
Hi, my name is Mahi and I am here to help you succeed in math. I'm an experienced and patient tutor with a strong background in math and I've helped students at all levels, from elementary school to high school, to build confidence and improve their performance. Whether you are preparing for an exam, struggling with a specific concept, or just want to feel more comfortable with math overall, I can guide you through it. My approach is clear, supportive, and is tailored to your needs. I focus on helping you understand the why behind the math, not just memorizing formulas. I use simple explanations, real examples, and structured practice to help you feel in control of the material. What sets me apart is not just my ability to explain different concepts, but my commitment to helping students feel seen, heard, and capable. I've worked with students of all learning styles and I adapt each session to fit how you learn best. I specialize in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1-2, and elementary school math. As a tutor, I focus on making math feel less intimidating and more intuitive. I believe that students learn best when they understand why something works and not just how to do a problem. My teaching method emphasizes clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and many examples to connect math to real-world problems
I tailor each session to the student's specific needs, but a typical lesson would start with a quick check in to identify any problem areas or review recent class material. From there, we break down key concepts, go through practice problems together, and work toward independent problem solving. I also will provide tips for checking work and recognizing common mistakes.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain things in a way that actually make sense. I'm patient, supportive, and very flexible in changing my teaching methods to suit the way that each student learns best. I genuinely care about helping students build a proper foundation so they could be able to solve more complex problems.
My lessons are great for students in high school, middle school, and elementary school. I am able to tutor students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1 and 2, and elementary school math. Whether you are trying to catch up, prepare for a test, or just want to feel more in control of your math class, I am here to help!
