About Tom
Hi there!
I'm Tom, and I'm a third year biochemistry student at Glasgow University. I'm really keen on my subject, especially sharing information with others, as well as hoping to inspire a passion for biology or chemistry! I like to cycle and run throughout the West End of Glasgow, as well as row along the Clyde in my down time, in addition to playing music with my band.

As a student, I have experienced the most efficient ways of teaching concepts and theory within the Biochemistry field. From this, I know the best ways to communicate information to students, whilst also understanding that not everyone will understand a concept first time. My lessons usually last an hour in length, and consist of an introduction to the topic, a teaching section, an application session (based around past paper questions), and then a consolidation section, where I make sure that I am satisfied with the student's level of understanding on the topic in which I have just taught them.
I have tutored previously to GCSE and A-Level students back home in Economics, Biology, Chemistry and Geography, and have received positive feedback, and enjoyed watching my students get into their chosen degree courses at university. My lessons are usually aimed at students sitting GCSEs and nat 5 certificates, up to A-Levels and advanced highers (15-18)
