About Tom
Hi, I am Tom, a Mathematical Physics student in my 3rd year at the University of Edinburgh. This means I have a pretty good base in both mathematics and physics. I also am a team lead in a student team where we're building a 'hyperloop' pod (very fast levitating train). So I have had a lot of experience actually applying all this theory. I love to help teach individuals in a way specific to their strengths and what they find fun, as when things start to become too difficult, a lack of interest can lead to disliking the subject, rather than growing a passion for it. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I love to let the student learn in their own way, everyone's brain works differently, so they will not just progress faster but enjoy the subject more if they learn in a way that is not only intuitive but fun to them. A typical less would be from around 30 mins to an hour. I have a lot of experience teaching students not only younger, but older than me as I am a team lead in an Engineering student society with a mix of ages and abilities. My lessons would be for High School students studying towards their GCSEs or A levels.
