About Sebastian
I am 21 years old and a student of French and Russian in England, however, I am spending this academic year at university in Paris and Tallinn. During my time in Paris I have tutored English to French school children, and so I have experience as to what techniques do and don't work in a class. As well as this I have spent time as a housemaster at summer camp for children learning English and volunteered as a French and Russian tutor to children from underprivileged backgrounds in County Durham, so language-leaning and teaching is really in my bones! Finally, if you choose me as your tutor, I will try my hardest to always be available to answer any question at any time whether in or out of class.

As a 3rd year undergraduate student of French, I have spent years discovering what is necessary to succeed in improving your level of French, passing exams, and honing the techniques necessary to get there! However, I am a firm believer that in order for the student to improve the teacher must listen to the student to understand their needs and desires since while there are general techniques which are globally helpful there are ways of tweaking these to suit everyone.
In any case here is a generic lesson plan for a GCSE/A-level student:
Conversation at the beginning of the lesson as a warm-up (incl. review of any homework, the topic of which will form the focus of the lesson) (10 mins).
Reading/listening/speaking exercises of a particular grammar point (20 mins).
Writing/speaking exercises implementing the grammar covered and vocab of the week's topic (this would normally take shape in short, written sentences, role-plays, or presentation (20 mins).
Questions that the student may have/wrap-up of topic (10 mins).
