About Gary
I am passionate about learning creatively. Students in my classes will never be told dry facts without understanding, but through discussion, questioning, thought experiments, visual aids, and a vast range of extra-curricular knowledge, I help students approach problems and questions with confidence, rigour and a sense of intellectual curiosity, both on the prescribed curriculum and beyond it.
The extra curricular interests I bring to my teaching include theatre, art, literature, music and politics. I also write plays in my free time for which I have been shortlisted in competitions. I have traveled all other the world experiencing different cultures in China, India, South-East Asia, Latin America, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. I am also a keen cyclist, hiker and a former paintball marshal. All of this I bring into my classes to enrich my classes and help student flourish with a broad, holistic education

I was for 3 years an Undergrad Tutor & Examiner @ Kings College London Philosophy Dpt (Political Philosophy, Ethics, History of Philosophy, Metaphysics and Logic) each year voted in top 10% of tutors by my students.
15 years teaching private and school-based classes in Philosophy, Critical Thinking, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, including GCSE, A-level, STEP, IB, MAT, PAT, BMAT, TMUA and TSA qualifications.
Qualifications:
- A Distinction in my postgrad Master of Arts in Philosophy @ University College London
- A First Class with honours degree in my undergrad Master of Mathematics (including theoretical physics modules) @ University of Durham
