About Alexandra
I have taught preschool kids between the ages of 3 and 5 before for about a couple of years. Instantly, I fell in love with teaching, and I can say it's the only job that I feel is enjoyable and keeps me eager to do more. Teaching, for myself, has never been just a job, it's always been my drive, passion, and rejuvination. Also, throughout my life from middle school to college, I have always tutored/taught individuals how to master a subject creatively. I have always been a helping hand, and if I can help someone feel better about their situation, I will do it without thinking twice. I have taught many Math and English subjects throughout my life, and while in college, I taught the same, along with preparing students for their resumes, cover letters, business cards, mock interviews, and more. Teaching is an ultimate gift and passion of mine, and I'm sure that you wouldn't regret signing your child up with someone like myself.
What I enjoy most about the work that I do, is being equppied to instill confidence into the youth's heart. I understand how difficult some things may be from time to time, and I know that every one learns differently. I always feel accomplished by not only teaching the material, but also showing my creativity with the work so that students can fully grasp onto the subject in a fun way. I love teaching, that's for sure, but to see the smile on a student's face when they know they've gotten the skills down, is what inspires me most. It makes me feel confident that they'll take what they've learned, and apply it to the world in their own enjoyment.
I will need maybe some classwork, homework or quiz-like material from the student to make sure I am teaching relevant information according to their course/class. I will go question-by-question and step-by-step with the student to make sure they understand the concept of the material/subject and how we got to the answer. Close to the end of the session, I will provide my own relevant question for them to solve themselves. If the student, would like any extra notes, or calculation to have on hand then I can definitely email the step, just in case.
I have a BBA degree in Marketing. I also have a certification in Microsoft Excel, which has helped me with using more advanced calculation, statistics, and Marketing. In addition, I am currently pursuing in my MBA degree in Business Analytics to further my education.

I try to understand what specifically someone needs help with within a subject. Next, I try to confirm with what day and time lengths work for them with being tutored, and if they would prefer online tutoring or in-person, due to Covid. Finally, I will need maybe some classwork or quiz-like material from the student to make sure I am teaching relevant information according to their course/class. Also, helping through their homework is definitely a strong suit of mine. From there on, I will have a few made up questions of my own, to hand to the student, that is still relevant what they are learning in their own class. This way, I know the student can be able to withstand any question thrown at them.
Most of my students need help with any Math leveled course. This ranges from age 5 to 18 to college credit.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think through of what in particular would they need help with in that class. What concepts don't they truly understand. What type of test tasker are they? Lastly, what do they struggle most in regards to either homework, quizzes/assignments, or the actual test?
