About Tashini
I am currently a fourth-year medical student at King’s College London. I previously completed a degree in Biochemistry at Queen Mary University of London, where I received a first-class honours degree. I have also completed A-levels in Chemistry, Maths, and Biology; therefore, I have a strong foundation in both Biology and Chemistry, and I teach at GCSE level. Having gone through medical school admissions tests (twice, improving from an average score to being in the top 9% nationally that year) and applications, I am well-suited to providing advice and tips on how to tackle the UCAT and stand out in your personal statement.

My teaching style is flexible as I believe every student learns differently and so I can tailor to their needs. I am especially focused on understanding which topics and themes that the student finds difficult, teaching them interactively and then going through past questions with them to reinforce the material learnt. I am a patient tutor and strive to see my students gain confidence and progress in their subjects. I typically offer 1-hour lessons. I scored 2910 in my UCAT medical school admissions exam, putting me in the top 9% nationally that year (2022 pre-removal of the AR section), and I am more than happy to assist any aspiring medical students in their journey, including UCAT preparation, where we can go over strategies to save time and review personal statements. I am also open to teaching GCSE-level Biology and Chemistry. I have had experience in tutoring when previously teaching GCSE mathematics online to a group of students for 6 months whilst completing my biochemistry degree. I was patient with each pupil, and if any of them had concerns, I focused on helping them understand the problem. I have also tutored my younger brother, along with one of his friends, for GCSE science revision. My medical school schedule allows for flexible tutoring lessons, therefore I am open to bookings at times which are convenient for you.
