As a 4th-year music major, I continuously seek opportunities for professional growth. I aim to establish a lifelong love for music in my students. My teaching style mainly focuses on artistic expression. I incorporate modern teaching methods into classical pedagogy, with emphasis on fundamental skills like technique, ear training, theory, and sight-reading. My typical lesson plan would begin with a warm-up exercises to build necessary technical skills, sight reading exercises, repertoire studies, followed by constructive feedback and theory lessons. At the end of each lesson, I set a list of both short-term and long-term goals based on students’ needs and aspirations. I prioritize in building a supportive and welcoming learning environment for students to feel comfortable express themselves musically. My lessons are designed for students of all levels, with or without musical background. Whether you’re preparing for exams, forced by your parents, or simply looking to learn a new life skill, I welcome anyone.
