About Mehreen
With 4 years tutoring experience, in subjects ranging from Latin to Biology, I have learnt a lot about bringing the best out in my students.
My teaching style is methodical - I create create student- specific objectives to facilitate progress; I plan each lesson to teach the content in a concise manner and finally I aim to instil study skills that will help students process and retain the knowledge they learn in school. On top of this, I aim to create a nurturing environment to learn in, as this improves productivity and builds confidence in students - helping them maximise every teaching session.
Teaching is something I am passionate about - I have taught First-Aid in London schools; trained students for Medical school interviews and am currently in the process of setting up a Medical Teaching Society.
I am now in my fifth year of my Medical Degree and have also completed a BSc in Management (First Class Honours). Being in education myself allows me a fresh perspective as I understand the challenges and importance of studying for exams.
