I am a highly experienced teacher/tutor who is passionate about empowering students to achieve to their fullest potential. I take pride in differentiating instruction to best serve the unique needs of each of my students. I focus on the basic elements of literacy- vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension as well as building a love of reading which encourages students to read for pleasure as a means of further improving their literacy skills. I am fun, patient, and encouraging, with the ability to quickly understand what methods are most impactful for individual students. I am comfortable, confident, and experienced in working with students from any grade level, ability, and background who desires to build upon their reading skills. I use the EBLI method, which helps students better understand the intricacies of the English language, and is perfect for any learner, from English Language Learners to students studying for the SAT.
