About Hazel
Hi! I’m a university student specializing in elite-level humanities and language tutoring. I achieved a 36 on ACT Reading, a 35 on ACT English, a 750 on SAT Reading, and a 6 in IB English Language and Literature HL. I am also biliterate and hold a CEFR B2 equivalent proficiency in Spanish, backed by a 5 in IB Spanish B HL.
I specialize in review/prep strategies for the ACT, SAT, IB English/Spanish (HL or SL), as well as college essay planning and revision services.
What sets me apart from other tutors? I was in your test-taking shoes a year ago! I know the most recent rules and formats of these exams, I respect your time as a fellow young adult, and understand the stressors of high school life.

Every session is highly structured to maximize every dollar you spend. Below is an example of standardized test/exam prep:
00–10 Mins: The Warm-up & Review. We review the previous week's homework, target any errors made, and clear up lingering doubts.
10–35 Mins: Strategy & Deep Dive. Introduction of a new concept or sub-topic (e.g., mastering the SAT "Command of Evidence" questions or outlining an IB Individual Oral). I demonstrate the technique first, then we do guided practice together.
35–55 Mins: Timed Execution. The student tackles official past-paper questions under real timed conditions while I observe their workflow, micro-habits, and pacing.
55–60 Mins: Action Item Blueprint. We recap the core takeaway of the day and assign a hyper-targeted, 30-minute homework task to lock in the skill before the next session.
