About Maryam
I am currently a university student studying English literature, aspiring to become a secondary school English teacher in the future. By tutoring, I believe it will help me gain valuable skills and knowledge that I will need to progress onto my career.
I have always had a keen interest to learn and teach English from a young age, from the reading to the writing aspect - and I am a firm believer that the right, engaging approach towards teaching a student is the key to their success.
Note: Can only teach at GCSE/ A - Level level.

Set specific targets and goals for students in each lesson, with the aim of developing their weaknesses.
Allow students to brainstorm ideas on a specific topic (e.g. by bulletpointing/ picking out key concepts and themes , then building onto these ideas via creating mindmaps and utilising online learning videos.
Develop an understanding relationship with the student, allowing them to answer questions to the best of their ability and aiming to target their strong/weak points.
