About Marcelo
I’m Marcelo Vig, a professional drummer, music producer, and Ableton Certified Trainer with years of experience both in the studio and touring, as well as helping artists and creators turn ideas into finished, expressive music. My work combines the precision of a producer with the sensitivity of a live performer — a balance that I bring into every lesson. Over the past two decades, I’ve collaborated with renowned artists in Brazil and abroad, while teaching in respected programs such as university-level music and production courses. This mix of academic experience and industry practice allows me to guide students at any level — from their first beat to professional releases. Students describe my approach as clear, motivating, and deeply musical. I believe in building skills that last: a solid workflow, creative discipline, and the confidence to express your own artistic voice. My teaching method combines creativity and structure. Each lesson balances musical expression, technical mastery, and real-world application. Whether we’re working on beat-making, drum programming, or complete song production, I adapt to the student’s goals and level — from beginner producers learning the basics of Ableton Live to advanced musicians refining their artistic identity. A typical session begins by identifying what you want to create, then breaking that idea into clear, achievable steps: sound design, rhythm construction, arrangement, and mix flow. We build the track together while discussing the “why” behind each choice — developing not only skills, but also creative confidence and an authentic musical voice. What sets me apart is my background as both a professional drummer and Ableton Certified Trainer. I bring a deep rhythmic understanding to music production, connecting traditional groove with modern electronic tools. My students learn how to think like artists, not just operators — transforming creative blocks into music that feels alive. These lessons are ideal for producers, drummers, and artists of any style who want to improve their workflow, strengthen their sense of groove, and develop a personal sound using Ableton Live or hybrid setups.
