About Amy
I have been tutoring music for 5 years teaching those wanting to pursue ABRSM/Trinity qualifications as well as students just learning for fun. My students taking exams have achieved 100% pass grades, the majority achieving distinction marks. My personal music qualifications are a dipABRSM in violin performance and the highest marks in the South West for my grades 6-8, Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 piano as well as grade 8s in Music Theory and Drumming.
In terms of my academic background, I speak German to a C1 level (the highest standard before native) and I have graduated from the University of Bristol with 1st Class Honours in BSc Accounting and Finance.

My teaching methods are completely centred around the student, so will vary depending on their needs, achievement desires and capabilities. I would describe myself as very friendly and approachable, which is demonstrated through how I keep in touch with all my students even after their tuition ends. I will be honest and give fair constructive criticism when needed and I am very thorough in notes for improvement. When preparing students for exams I am incredibly thorough in covering the syllabus and would never enter a student unprepared.
