About Jamie
I am a senior lecturer and programme leader with over 16 years in education. I have been a class teacher, government adviser, headteacher, researcher, and senior lecturer/programme leader. Over the years, I have tutored student teachers on placements, supervised for masters and BA Dissertations, and mentored seasoned teachers through professional growth. As an educator, I am passionate about social justice and my research focuses on eliminating barriers for teachers and educators to thrive in education. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully helping you on your journey.

I follow a neurodiverse framework for learning where there is no expectation to teach in a certain way. My approach is dialogic and collaborative where we problem solve together. I have faced obstacles and challenges due to various intersectional identities I possess, and want to support students in overcoming their own challenges to be successful in their endeavours. In the sessions, we can focus on: 1. Classroom teaching and pedagogy 2. Assignment planning and prep 3. Proofreading and editing 4. Portfolio support and guidance 5. Dissertation support and academic writing 6. Interview preparation, personal statement and job support
