About Zenobia
Launched Green Career Pathways to strengthen the quality of employment and educational trainings for 100 young adults including resume/cv workshops, mock interviews, college and internship information sessions, and employer visits increasing clients transition into full-time employment and/or college by 25 percent.
Recruited employers for the Green Career Pathways advisory board to enhance the young adult experience and established a six-month internship program.
Planned inaugural College and Career Fair: recruiting 65 employers and colleges, engaging over 100 young adults and securing 25% of employment.
Mentored 65 young adults to full-time employment through the use of career assessments to identify relevant skill sets; provided weekly resume and cover letter reviews; conducting mock interviews and engaging in one-on-one meetings for personal/professional advising.
College and Career Ambassador November 2014 – February 2016
Developed and executed College and Career recruiting programming, increasing program awareness and membership by 20 percent.
Researched demographics and interests of clients through surveys and career assessments and collaborated with various community colleges to match results with that of our clients.
Provide counsel and guidance with 50-100 students and in large group settings on the college application and financial aid process.
Arranged college visits, guest speakers of recent college graduates, and various employers of interests.
Increased the quality of scholarship recipients by 30 percent by recalibrating our recruitment efforts to identify neighboring elementary and high schools whose educational program models matched our criteria.
Increased retention rate of freshman scholars by 20 percent and end goal of college acceptances by 35 percent
