With an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance, I have the academic background to guide students through complex subjects. My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching
As a tutor with 8 years of experience working with students ranging from Grade 3 to A-Level (and even University level), I believe that deep understanding is the key to academic success. My approach focuses on ensuring that students not only learn how to solve problems but also why the methods work. When a student thoroughly grasps the underlying concepts of a subject, it becomes significantly easier to approach even the most challenging questions with confidence.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology
Concept-Based Learning
I emphasize building a strong foundational understanding of the core concepts. Instead of just memorizing formulas or methods, I encourage students to understand the why behind each step, which makes applying knowledge to different problems easier. Once the concept is clear, we work through a range of questions, progressing from simpler to more complex ones, so that students can apply their understanding to a variety of scenarios.
Active Problem Solving
I believe that students learn best when they are actively involved in solving problems. During lessons, I guide them step-by-step, but I also encourage independent thinking by letting them take the lead. I provide immediate feedback, pointing out areas of improvement and offering hints or alternative methods when necessary.
Interactive and Engaging
Learning doesn’t have to be dry or boring. I aim to keep sessions engaging by relating topics to real-life scenarios or examples that capture students’ interest. Whether it’s through real-world applications or interactive discussions, I try to keep students motivated and curious.

The goal is to maintain a balance between comprehensive coverage and keeping the lesson engaging.
Qualifications and Experience
With 8 years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with students at various levels, from Grade 3 through to A-Level, and even University level students. Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of subjects, particularly in Maths, Science, and English. I’ve also helped students with exam preparation, study skills, and project work.
I take pride in helping students reach their full potential and tailor my teaching style to suit their individual needs, whether they are struggling with a specific concept or preparing for university entrance exams.
