About Julie
Hello! I'm Julie, a TEFL-certified English instructor with a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and International Relations. I have 10+ years of experience helping English language learners achieve their academic and professional goals.
Throughout my career, I've worked with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds from around the world, helping them build confidence in English while preparing for important exams such as the IELTS and TOEFL. I believe every student learns differently, so each lesson is tailored to your individual goals, learning style, and current level. Whether you're aiming for a Band 7+ on the IELTS, preparing for university, improving your professional English, or simply becoming a more confident speaker, I create lessons that are engaging, practical, and focused on measurable progress.
Students appreciate my patient and friendly teaching style, detailed feedback, and ability to explain complex grammar and writing concepts in a clear, easy-to-understand way. I don't just teach you how to answer exam questions—I help you develop the language skills and confidence you'll use long after the test is over.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outdoors with my dog. Our favorite, go-to activities are paddleboarding and hiking. In the winter, I trade in my paddleboard for skis and hit the slopes!
