About Olivia
Hi! I'm Olivia, I'm a 22 year-old 3rd-year student at the University of York currently studying Writing, Directing and Performance. I want to teach because I loved my school years so much and I found working on essays, analysis and creative writing incredibly rewarding as a student, I want to use the joy and passion I have in my subjects to pass on to the next generation of students to help them fall in love with the subjects the way I do, or at least just find them a bit less daunting!

I want to encourage students to find their own understandings and interpretations of English texts so all of the ideas in their analysis and essay writing are their own. My role is to help show students how to find these interpretations and analyses in the texts, and how best to structure and frame these ideas in an essay style to impress the examiners or teachers.

Excellent! My daughter said lesson was spectacular, she told that she was able to learn more and that Olivia really pushed her answers further which kept my daughter stimulated through the lesson. However we did have some technical difficulties with the audio but besides that it was amazing!
Perfect! We continue to love lessons with Olivia. She knows her stuff, prepares well, is easy going and puts student at ease.

I would highly recommend Olivia as an English Literature tutor as she is a very patient skilled teacher, who can explain things in clear concise way that is easy to follow. She is very knowledgeable and is also an excellent communicator so easy to talk to.
Olivia was a brilliant help during my GCSEs, talking me through my poetry and helped me fall in love with english literature!! She is kind and patient, fully recommend her as a GCSE or A level tutor :)
