About Alex
I am currently training as a music therapist after completing a BA in Music & English and an Mmus in Creative Practice.
I have been playing guitar for fifteen years and am an accomplished player. My preffered style is finger-picking and i enjoy experimenting with open tunings.
With a background in orchestral playing and tutorage at the Sage music school I am well versed in music theory and able to teach any style, as well as composition and songwriting.
I love improvisation and encourage experimentation and individuality in music making!

I have a flexible teaching style depending upon the hopes and interests of the student, which are discovered and discussed in the opening session.
however, I do like to firmly ground my lessons in establishing and building a strong technique that can be the foundation of any style of playing.
Lessons are half an hour/one hour long.
As a trainee music therapist I hope to be a kind, encouraging and personable tutor offering great support to the student!
