About James Justine
Hi, I'm so glad you're here! I'm a guitarist with 5–10 years of experience across Classical, Acoustic/Folk, and Blues/Jazz. Three styles that have each shaped the way I think about music and how I teach it.
My own journey started as a self-taught player, which means I know firsthand what it feels like to figure things out from scratch. That experience gives me a real appreciation for where beginners are coming from, and it's a big part of why I love teaching. There's nothing quite like watching someone play their first chord or nail a song they've been working on.
I believe learning guitar should feel enjoyable and rewarding at every stage, not frustrating. My lessons are built around you, your goals, your favorite music, and your pace. Whether you're a child picking up the guitar for the first time, a teenager wanting to learn your favorite songs, or an adult who's always wanted to play, I'd love to help you get there.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me playing, always learning, always exploring new music, and finding new ways to grow as a musician.

With 5–10 years of playing experience, my teaching draws on a solid foundation built through dedicated self-study and a genuine love for the craft. I specialize in Classical, Acoustic/Folk, and Blues/Jazz — styles that together cover a rich range of technique, tone, and musical expression.
My lessons are structured yet flexible, blending music theory, tab and sheet music reading, and real songs you'll actually want to play. Rather than one-size-fits-all teaching, I tailor each session to your goals, learning pace, and musical taste — whether that means working through a favorite song, understanding chord theory, or developing fingerpicking technique.
