About Emma
I’m a professionally trained actor with a degree from one of the UK’s most selective drama conservatories, where I developed a deep connection to classical texts through performance. Long before I trained in acting, though, I had a strong academic foundation in English—consistently achieving 90% and above in English Literature and Language throughout high school. Literature and English language arts has always been my first love. What began as a natural strength in English class grew into a passion for exploring the emotional, historical, and human depth of great writing. My training as an actor only deepened that connection, giving me tools to interpret, embody, and communicate complex texts in a fresh and accessible way.

I approach classical literature not as an academic, but as an actor—someone trained to bring text off the page and into the body. With a degree from one of the UK’s top drama conservatoires, I offer a unique perspective: I don’t just analyze literature, I inhabit it.
Whether it’s Shakespeare, Ibsen, Chekov or many others, I focus on what the text does, not just what it means. That means exploring rhythm, emotion, character intention, and the human experience behind the words. My sessions are ideal for students who find traditional literary analysis dry or confusing—I make these works feel alive. Whether you are prepping for exams or just want to connect more deeply with classical texts, I’ll help you see them not as distant or difficult, but as powerful, living stories you can relate to and even embody.
As a student I always excelled in all aspects of English courses, from grammar to creative writing and everything in between. So if you are looking for someone who can cover all bases, I am the tutor for you.
