About Blake
I bring over two years of experience working as a substitute teacher with Chicago Public Schools, where professionalism and adaptability matter every day. I hold my tutoring to the same standards, while shaping lessons around each student’s interests. I love using storytelling, sci-fi, anime, fantasy, and cultural touchstones to make reading and writing feel engaging. I also incorporate low-pressure public speaking exercises to build confidence and clarity. I design lessons myself and prioritize human conversation, creativity, and critical thinking over AI-generated work, helping students develop skills they can truly call their own.
