About Jeremy
I am an Adelaide-based musician and music producer with 20 years experience in performance and songwriting, and 15 years experience in home studio use and audio production. I play guitar, drums, keys and percussion and also sing.
I have produced several of my own records, culminating in the full writing, production, mixing and mastering of my debut album (you can listen at the youtube link below). I have also produced and mixed records for various other bands.
I work in both acoustic and electric mediums and across various genres.

My classes are geared towards self-directed musicians and beginner producers. Many beginners can feel overwhelmed at the confusing array of different ideas at work and can't figure out why their mixes don't sound any good. I aim to fix that.
In my lessons I aim to give understanding of the basic mixing fundamentals such as EQ, compression, pan, volume and automation. I can also give tips on arrangement, instrumentation, songwriting and song structure, which are also essential for good production. If the student needs, we can also go over DAW basics (aka, the program used to record and mix).
A typical lesson:
For students who have something to start with, eg a song they have begun writing or recording. I can give tips and tricks to improve the mix while explaining all the fundamentals involved.
For complete beginners we can start writing a song together and work towards having a full mix ready to go (this may take more than one or two lessons!)
