About Amanda
Every student I teach I take the time to listen to his or her concerns pertaining to the subject he or she is having difficulty in. It is important for me to understand where the struggles arise from. Whether they be just a general aversion to the material, or it's the way the teacher is teaching it, or it's just a specific area, or something else. There is a lot involved in teaching and it can be something as simple as the specific teacher's attitude causing the aversion to the material. Teaching and tutoring I have learned is an art that is constantly in a state of improvement.

My teaching method has been tailored over the years, but it all starts from what I learned from my best math teachers and professors. I'm proud to say that every student I've Tutored thus far -- whether it be algebra, statistics, proofs, logic, calculus, etc. --all have gained a better understanding of the subject and grades have seen at least a 50% improvement. I also happen to really love math and teaching, which I strongly believe the teachers or tutors attitude toward the subject he or she is teaching coincides with how well the student will learn. A fun and inspiring teacher who loves his or her subject and loves teaching it is the best proven method, as my best teachers were the ones who loved their material.
