About Alyssa
Hi! I am Alyssa, and I was taking an AP course in my junior and senior year of high school. I passed both courses with high honors. Learning what type of writer I am helped me to write essays more centered around what interests me, as well as topics that are not talked about enough. I would make a great tutor as, I've tutored students in the past (who all ended up making high honors) and I've learned many different writing skills to help craft different pieces of writing.

As a tutor, I would use my techniques such as teaching about what makes a good writer, and the skills one needs to complete an outstanding writing assignment. I would then help you take the skills I've taught you, and craft it into a piece of writing that we will revise until it's ready to be submitted. What sets me apart from other tutors is, I like to get to know you as a person, so I can see what type of student you are and how that impacts your writing. A typical lesson plan would be, learning about the different styles of writing and learning what type of writer you are. Then, we would start the writing process. My lessons are for AP or regular high school students.:)
