About Laura
I started learning Mandarin Chinese aged 18 at university, because it was a very different language to those I had studied before, and I knew a large number of people in several countries use the language every day. Since then, I have used an active and fun-focused approach to learning the language, and hope to bring this to my students too.
I truly believe that if you use topics you are interested in, a low-pressure setting, and do some creative activities, you can improve both your ability and your confidence in using the language quickly. This has worked for me and I hope I can help other people access this great language in the same way, and have fun doing it.

I am an advanced-level Mandarin Chinese speaker who started learning at 18 years old. Through immersion and fun, active learning I hope to help you improve your skills in Chinese too!
I offer classes of 30 minutes or 1 hour, and use an engaging and creative approach to help you become confident in using Chinese.
I work best with beginner and intermediate students, and welcome students of all ages (from 6+) - I have 2 years of experience teaching 6-18 year old students in foreign languages.
