About Pedro
My name is Pedro, I'm 24 years old and I live in Holland.
I was born in Brazil, where I had most of my basic education before moving to Belgium, where I did my high school. Right after that, I took the entrance exam to the university of my dreams in the Netherlands, and today I am in my final year of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology, also finishing a minors in Computer Science and intend to pursue a master's degree in space exploration.
I am a patient and friendly person who knows how to listen to others. I enjoy helping people, which is why I have always been interested in teaching, giving advice and cheering others up. Other than that, I like to interact with people, because I love dynamism and monotony bothers me.
I have always had an easy time in the exact sciences, and therefore, on multiple occasions, I have been part of tutoring groups in exact sciences and language subjects in the schools where I have studied, in addition to always have taken the initiative to help friends who had difficulties in these subjects. I have recently taught high school students in Brazil and Belgium in subjects such as English, French, Natural Sciences, Physics and Mathematics. Also, I am a teaching assistant in programming at my Faculty.
I'm excited to continue teaching and improving my skills further.

Programming is an indispensable knowledge nowadays. It is a skill that provides us with many opportunities and advantages, even in areas not related to computer science itself, such as management, engineering, economics and accounting. When a student of exact sciences starts university with prior knowledge of programming, this difficult-to-start subject becomes much easier and more comprehensive. That is why it is important to have at least an introduction to programming still in high school and even in elementary school.
The lectures consist of an introduction to programming in the Python language, which is the fastest growing programming language and the most versatile as well. It has been chosen as main programming language at NASA, Google, Intel, IBM, Facebook, JP Morgan Chase and many others.
I'm in my last year of Engineering, and I still see the problem of the recurring lack of connection between teacher and student. Often, teachers cannot "go down" to the student's level to pass the content in a simple and clear way, and what should be easy, becomes absurdly difficult. It is certain that every student knows what I am talking about.
As I'm still in my last year of University and my high school experience is still quite fresh, I know what students go through. I'm closer to my target audience and I can more easily put myself in their shoes. In this way, I can communicate with the students at their own level and context, identifying their strengths and weaknesses and customizing the classes to suit their needs.
