About Eric
Hi! My name is Eric and I'm a current Aerospace Engineering student in San Diego.
I have several years of experience tutoring peers in subjects such as AP Physics, AP Calculus, and related topics (trigonometry, algebra, etc). Additionally, I scored a 5 on all the corresponding AP exams (Physics 1, Physics C, Calculus BC), currently hold a 4.0 GPA, and have a passion for teaching others. As I strive to achieve in my own academic life, I hope to instill this same sense in my students.
I was also a band section leader back in high school! I know what it's like to work towards a big goal, and the struggle that accompanies this effort. I'll be on your team as I aid you in your journey to academic success.

I firmly believe that learning should be about exploring and having fun with the subject, and I aim to create this positive environment as a tutor.
All subjects, no matter how difficult, will always have a relatively simple starting point. This is the point that I will start with when tutoring a subject, and I may adjust depending on the student's needs as I go more in depth. The best way to reinforce learning is to do practice - after tutoring the concepts of a subject, I will provide examples questions to work on. There is no pressure to be right every time, either. Learning from mistakes is key to becoming a master.
Being a student myself, I aim to place significance in teaching the relevance of the things that a younger student is taught. I have firsthand experience of the topics from my grade school days playing a direct role in my life as a scholar.
Lessons are open for any middle - high school student who wishes to supplement their learning or needs extra help!

I highly encourage Eric as a math tutor! He has been tutoring me with math all throughout high school, and I could always rely on him to effectively teach me by going over homework and previous tests. I’m now succeeding in math because of him!
