About Alexis
I am an elementary educator and forever learner. I graduated from Ball State University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and concentration in Gifted and Talented Education. I am certified to teach grades K-6 in US states Indiana and Texas. I have two years of professional teaching experience and have also worked as a camp counselor and mentor.

I teach all subjects for grades K-6. I believe in the importance of building relationships, so I will prioritize getting to know your student as an individual. I like to incorporate your child's interests into my lessons to increase motivation and keep things fun and engaging! You can expect our lessons to be structured to allow your student to gradually have more ownership of the skill they are working on. First, I will model how to use the skill. Then, we will do the skill together. To end, your student will be able to effectively use the skill on their own. We will also set a goal at the beginning of each lesson and assess if we've accomplished the goal at the end.
