About James
My name is James Deus. I take a sacred amount of time to be where I am. For years, I’ve led rewarding experiences, with children and adults alike, on their expansion of an inarticulate self to a portrait of literacy found only within their own voices. I believe in the voices of many as a harmony, aligning into the voices of one. I believe in the effective power of music, and look for the rhythm in collaborative discussion that inspires growth between individuals. Transparent communication is a skill. Keeping that transparency in a professional setting is a virtue I only hope to maintain as best as I have. Deciding whether or whether (homophones) Defeating the vast informational texts of your everyday schoolwork is no small feat. Note: “feat” in the word Defeating. Under my teaching, we begin to dissect the foundational strategies enveloped in language. We will uncover tools & labels (idioms, affixes, acronyms, & etc) to divulge what makes language tick in your mind. Understanding the necessity of strong vocabulary will be the difference in your standard essay & one that conveys information the reader will conclude the utmost importance. It is how you, the student, decide how to use language that is paramount.
