About Mariia
I graduated from an American college with a Bachelor's in Biology and a Psychology minor. I speak English fluently, but I am also bilingual in Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, German, Turkish, and Arabic; thus, I know how speaking other languages affects pronunciation of English words. In addition to being a tutor, I also have classroom teaching experience as I taught English to refugees and immigrants in Missouri’s private language school. Moreover, I have extensive tutoring experience helping college students with their courses in science subjects at a tutoring center affiliated with an American university. I am also a researcher, data analyst, and former President of the college International Club.

My name is Mariia. I have graduated from college with a specialization in Biology and minor Psychology, so I truly know how hard it may be to find your voice in a language other than native (the insecurity/the stress/anxiety of not being able to convey your message). This makes me the right tutor for you, and my lessons are designed accordingly. They are easy, comfortable, and result-oriented. I will pay attention to your way of speaking, find out what exactly prevents you from using your maximum potential, and help you to deal with this problem (whether it is accent, intonation, rhythm, or inability to think on one's feet). Nothing too mechanical, strict or judgmental, only practical lessons that will make a difference in your speaking American English. This is a safe place for exploring your horizons - I'm always glad to help you reach your goals!
