About Gizem
I am a senior majoring in neuroscience and chemistry at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. I have been living in America for 8 years. I volunteered to give intermediate and beginner level lessons to high school and elementary school students, and I continue to do so. I took TOEFL before, and I can help prepare for it as well.

I design my lessons according to the goals of the students (practical English, business English, exam preparation, etc.), so I'm liberal with my lesson plans. Usually, I start with a short grammar lesson. I spend more time focusing on listening and speaking practices, and I try to incorporate current events in my lessons. Since I found it very useful to read books myself when I was learning English, I give my students book recommendations and I assist in reading analysis.
