About Ashley
I have both my bachelor's and master's degree in English Education from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. I also have two certificates in TEFL. I teach the English language, literature and public speaking at American schools around the world. I have been teaching English for the past 8 years. I taught in England, Italy, Rwanda, Dominican Republic and now in Brazil! At the moment, I work at the American School of Recife.

In addition to grammar and vocabulary classes. I use the REAL method (Rational Emotional Affective Learning), which means that I use interesting texts, theater, games and music to encourage an emotional connection with the language. I believe that these connections improve the retainment of language skills.
