About Riyad
I’m Riyad, a UK-trained English teacher (PGCE QTS; BA English Literature, First) and IB specialist. Outside lessons I run a TikTok dedicated to art, literature and philosophy, turning big ideas into short, engaging explainers. My life’s project is connecting learning to life—starting from images and texts, then uncovering the concepts beneath. Students describe me as calm, clear and curious; families value the steady progress and communication. When I’m not teaching or filming, I’m reading and shaping new ways to help young people think deeply and write clearly.

Hi, I’m Riyad—PGCE (QTS) English teacher and IB specialist. Lessons are 60 minutes online. My approach is philosophy-rich and analysis first: we begin with a vivid text or images and discuss ideas philosophically and conceptually, then turn insight into thesis-led writing. I model paragraphs and essays, teach close-reading routines for unseen poetry and Shakespeare, and use retrieval practice, live marking and clear goals. Every student gets a plan aligned to their syllabus (IB MYP/DP English A, GCSE or A-level). EAL/SEND-aware support, regular feedback, and focused exam practice build confidence and grades—while connecting literature to life itself.
